Begin your journey in Reykjavík, Iceland’s colorful capital, before exploring the country’s fascinating volcanic regions and natural wonders. Experience the Volcano Express, visit Þingvellir National Park, witness the erupting geothermal activity of Geysir, and admire the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall.
Continue along Iceland’s scenic South Coast towards Vík, discovering Mount Hekla, Eyjafjallajökull, Seljalandsfoss, and Skógafoss. Enjoy a visit to an outdoor geothermal bakery and taste traditional steam-baked Icelandic rye bread.
The adventure continues through Katla, Lakagígar, Eldhraun, and Öræfajökull, followed by a visit to Vatnajökull National Park. Experience the spectacular Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon with an amphibian boat tour and explore the famous Diamond Beach, where icebergs meet the black volcanic sand.
Travel back through the South Coast towards Hveragerði, a town renowned for its geothermal activity and steaming landscapes. The journey concludes with a relaxing visit to the iconic Blue Lagoon, where you can enjoy warm, mineral-rich geothermal waters surrounded by lava fields.
Along the way, enjoy authentic Icelandic experiences including a local microbrewery and beer tasting, a guided evening beach walk with refreshments, and a visit to a local horse farm to meet Icelandic horses and enjoy traditional Icelandic refreshments.
Arrive at Keflavik International Airport, where you will be welcomed and transferred to Reykjavík, the vibrant capital of Iceland. After hotel check-in, spend the day exploring the charming city known for its colorful streets, modern Nordic architecture, and lively atmosphere. Visit one of the neighbourhood geothermal pools. You may also enjoy Icelandic cafés, local cuisine, and shopping streets in the city center. Overnight stay in Reykjavík.
After breakfast, proceed for Volcano Express experience at Harpa in Reykjavík. Depart Reykjavík for a discovery of volcanic features and natural wonders. The first volcanic area you’ll meet is HENGILL. This volcanic system stretches over 60 km (37 miles). Visit Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Continue to the Geysir geothermal area to witness erupting hot springs and bubbling mud pools, followed by a visit to the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall. Later, continue along the stunning South Shore to visit, One volcano is MOUNT HEKLA, the “Queen of Iceland’s volcanoes.” The other is EYJAFJALLAJÖKULL, an ice-capped volcano that erupted in 2010. Later stop at Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, both known for their breathtaking beauty. Overnight stay in Vik (B)
Breakfast at the hotel, Today you will visit he area of KATLA. This glacier-covered volcano has erupted twenty times between the years 930 and 1918. Stop at the Reynisfjara beach, where you can take a walk on the volcanic black sand.Tthe next volcanic region is LAKAGÍGAR, and its mystical lava fields. Head towards the Eldhraun, a vast and surreal lava field created during Laki’s eruption. Later proceed to the southern area of Vatnajökull National Park, named after Europe’s largest glacier. You’ll also visit the next volcanic region: ÖRÆFAJÖKULL. The highest peak on Vatnajökull glacier is an ice capped stratovolcano called Öræfajökull. Later, visit the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon where you can enjoy the breath-taking sight of icebergs floating in the fantastic 180m (591 ft.) deep glacial lagoon. Explore the Diamond beach , Visit Vatnajökull National Park’s famous Skaftafell area. Enjoy the scenic drive back towards the Vík/South Iceland area for an overnight stay.(B)
After breakfast, drive towards the South Coast geothermal town of Hveragerði, renowned for its volcanic activity, hot springs, and steaming landscapes. Experience Iceland’s fascinating geothermal surroundings while enjoying beautiful countryside views.Turn onto a southern coastal road and follow alongside the shoreline with its breathtaking sea waves. The road takes you through surreal landscapes to the final volcanic region of the trip: FAGRADALSFJALL. Later, visit the iconic Blue Lagoon, one of Iceland’s most famous attractions, where you can relax in warm mineral-rich geothermal waters surrounded by lava fields. Enjoy the soothing spa experience and rejuvenating atmosphere before returning to Reykjavík. Overnight stay in Reykjavík. (B)
