Explore Rome with a panoramic Hop-On Hop-Off tour, discover the artistic wonders of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, admire the Renaissance architecture of Florence, experience the culinary heritage of Bologna, cruise through the enchanting atmosphere of Venice and travel through the scenic landscapes of Tuscany.
The journey continues south to Pompeii, where an expert guide brings the ancient Roman city to life, followed by a spectacular excursion to Capri, including a visit to the famous Blue Grotto, weather permitting. With comfortable accommodation, selected meals, guided sightseeing and deluxe motorcoach transportation, this tour offers a convenient and enriching way to experience Italy.
Welcome to Italy! After your arrival at the airport, your driver will transfer you to your hotel. Explore the city of Rome by riding one of the Open-top Hop on Hop off buses and spot your favorite city landmarks from a different point of view! All you have to do is jump on board and relax, listen to the audio commentary and get on and off at any of the eight stops available along the route. The bus ticket included in the deal will be valid for a day. Enjoy the rest of the day on your own. Return to the hotel on your own. Overnight in Rome.
After breakfast, depart from your hotel by a deluxe coach heading towards Assisi ready to explore, at your own leisure, this tiny town surrounded by walls, built in the Middle Ages. Take your time to visit the basilica of St. Francis, where you will see masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue and, then enjoy a lunch in Assisi. Board on the bus to reach Siena, a Unesco World Heritage Site, world-known for the Palio, the historical horse race around the shell-shaped town square in Piazza del Campo. Next, you will continue on to Florence, where you will check in at your hotel before enjoying dinner and a well-earned night of rest. Overnight in Florence (B,L)
After breakfast, you will spend the day venturing around beautiful Florence, the “Cradle of Renaissance", where, with the help of Michelangelo, Italian art reached its pinnacle. You will be fascinated by the uncountable monuments, churches and buildings as Santa Maria del Fiore, more commonly referred to as the Duomo. On your visit, you will be amazed by its magnificent dome built by Filippo Brunelleschi. Cross a small piazza to see the “Campanile” tower (partly designed by Giotto) and the Baptistery, with its bronze doors where Michelangelo imagined the “Gates of Paradise.”In the heart of the city, you will see Piazza della Signoria and the Basilica of Santa Croce. After lunch in a typical Tuscan restaurant in Piazza Santa Croce, spend the afternoon strolling the cobblestone streets of Florence or take a short trip to Pisa (optional), one of the four main historical Marine Republics of Italy. There, you will tour the Piazza dei Miracoli with the Duomo, Pisa’s symbol “the Leaning Tower” and the Baptistery. Later head back to the hotel. Overnight in Florence. (B,L)
After breakfast, depart for the elegant city of Bologna. Upon arrival explore the charming city center, adorned with its iconic porticos. Once you arrive begin your walking tour at Piazza Malpighi, leading to the heart of the city at Piazza del Nettuno and Piazza Maggiore. Here, you can marvel at the historic Palazzo Podestà as well as the Basilica of San Petronio, the largest Gothic church in the world built with bricks. With a street food light lunch experience at a local eatery, this is your chance to savor the authentic flavors and unique dishes that define Bologna's renowned gastronomic identity. Later in the afternoon, continue your journey to Venice (Mestre). Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for a restful overnight stay. (B)
After breakfast, enjoy your transfer to Piazza San Marco, and visit the most iconic places of the “Floating City”, visit the Doge's Palace (outside) and cross the Bridge of Sigh. After the tour, you will be treated with a spritz or a prosecco, as a delightful conclusion to your visit to the highlights of Venice. While you sit comfortably and savor your drink, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy a taste of the famous "cicchetti," a Venetian variation of tapas (light lunch). Spend the afternoon roaming along Venice’s canals at your leisure and then return to the hotel. Overnight in Venice. (B)
After breakfast check-out of your hotel and head to Tuscany, world-known for its landscapes, its churches and castles and its delicious wines. Upon arrival proceed to Val di Chiana with a stop in Montepulciano, a medieval town rich in history and art. Known for its “Vino Nobile” wine, on purchase in local wine houses, Montepulciano also offers stunning panoramic views and a rich cultural heritage. Lunch in a typical restaurant included!!! After lunch, quick stop to spend some free time. In the evening, you will arrive in Rome to check in into your hotel. Overnight in Rome. (B,L)
After breakfast, head for your Rome city tour with skip the line access. The tour guide will lead you to into the museums where you’ll visit one of the most important art collections of the world. Walk along the beautiful Galleries of Tapestries and Geographical Maps before admiring Raphael’s Rooms and, then, the amazing Sistine Chapel. After this incredible masterpiece, the tour ends in St. Peter’s Square where you can admire the incredible masterpiece St. Peter’s Basilica (Outside), the biggest church in the world! The tour ends in St. Peter’s Square. Enjoy the rest of the day to explore the city at your own leisure . Overnight in Rome. (B)
After breakfast, at 07: 00 AM Approx you will be picked up and will depart for Pompeii by coach heading south crossing the regions of Lazio and Campania. Once you reach the town, Enjoy a lunch with authentic Neapolitan pizza! Following lunch, continue to the world-famous archaeological site of Pompeii. With Skip-the-Line admission and an expert local guide, explore this ancient Roman city, tragically buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Travel along the scenic Sorrentine Coast, renowned for its dramatic cliffs, sparkling blue waters, and sweeping views of the Bay of Naples. Arrive in Sorrento in the early evening and check in at your hotel. Enjoy a dinner at the hotel ( jacket required for men) and Overnight in Sorrento. (B,L,D)
After breakfast, take a full-day excursion to the legendary island of Capri, a jewel of the Mediterranean famed for its dramatic cliffs, turquoise waters, and timeless glamour. Weather permitting, visit the enchanting Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra) by rowboat. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (not included), perhaps sampling fresh seafood or classic Caprese cuisine. Afterwards, enjoy free time on the island to tailor the afternoon to your own interests. Return to Sorrento in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. (B, D)
After breakfast, you'll have some free time to soak in Sorrento's charm one last time. The rest of the morning is at leisure. Explore Sorrento’s charming streets, browse local artisan shops, or sample the famous locally produced limoncello or an optional excursion to the stunning Amalfi Coast is available (not included). In the afternoon, depart for return journey to Rome, filled with memories of an unforgettable Italian adventure. Check in at your hotel and overnight stay. (B)
